My very first mural! Check out the process here.
Austin, Texas has many memorable sights from the city skyline, bats emerging the SOCO bridge, and candy colored sunsets. This mural captures the beauty of this city and adds a bright pop of color to the living area. Who wouldn't want a selfie by this?
The challenge:
I was commissioned again by Kaylyn & Tyler, owners of Air BnB's in North Austin. Keeping with the City of Austin theme, we decided to focus on the beauty of the city. Due to limited wall space in the living room, this mural had to be placed above the couch. This made the set-up more tedious and required me to be precise about measurements and provide accurate mockups to my clients.
The Process:
Rounds of sketches and mockups were shared before reaching the final design. Once It was approved, had my dates set up and paint purchased, it was time to install. I used a portable projector to project the image onto the wall and it worked perfectly. After tracing the image on the wall, I used a print out for reference to paint.
Takeaways:
It crucial to have a space prepped before beginning to paint. Giving extra time for prep and making sure I have space to set up my projector would have eased the beginning of the process on this project. Sample paint sizes go such a long way - it's best to start there and purchase more if needed. (I have so many quarts of paint haha)

Nothing screams Texas roadtrip more than staying at a Holiday Inn Express, waking up at 8 AM for a complimentary breakfast, and being greeted with the most ‘yeehaw’ waffle maker you’ve ever seen; a Texas shaped waffle maker.
The challenge:
I was commissioned by Kaylyn & Tyler, owners of an Air BnB in North Austin, to create and install an Austin themed wall mural that guests could take pictures by. We decided to channel the many murals in downtown Austin as inspiration by using funny phrases and weird illustrations.
The Process:
Rounds of sketches and mockups were shared before reaching the final design. Once It was approved and I had my dates set up, it was time to install. I used a portable projector to project the image onto the wall and it worked perfectly. After tracing the image on the wall, I used a print out for reference to paint.
Takeaways:
I am a team of one! And I only had one week to complete the project. It was crucial to have a schedule and stick by it. I also bought way too much paint, ha!
During my time at FastSigns, I learned an abundance of knowledge regarding signage, advertising, marketing, and sales. I pondered on how I would show this knowledge in a creative way and landed on a simple infographic pertaining information on how I made sale at FastSigns, as well as how I used my creative abilities to create the end the product for the client. Below are photos of finished works and some in progress shots of the team and I.
Every year, a group of nerds get together for Labor Day weekend and, well, nerd out. Video games, board games, cooking and lots of laughs. I was tasked to create a logo and text lock up for the group so they could have a face for their weekend of festivities.
The main game played during this weekend is called DoTA 2 (Defense of The Ancients) in which there are three lanes of play. Two teams defend their base while simultaneously trying to destroy their opponents’. We could’ve easily called it DoTA weekend, but where’s the fun in that? The goal was to create something sleek with a ‘If you know you know’ kind of touch.
The inspiration comes directly from the map used in the game that is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. The white arrow represents the team using full force on each lane directed toward the enemy base to achieve victory.
During my time at FastSigns, I had some branding design opportunities; one of them being a Thai fusion restaurant called Rose’s Kitchen. The clients wanted to incorporate their family name, Rose, into their restaurants name. We went through a few sketches and variations before narrowing it down to the final mark shown. Their love for sharing food from around the world with others is something I really admire about them and wanted to bring that feeling into their brand. No-Comply Skate Shop is a local skateboard shop in Austin, Texas. Every year, they host a Deck Design contest where local artists can enter a board design in hopes of being chosen to become the house deck for the year. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Evan Farias, a local designer and illustrator, to create this one of a kind board. We like to call it, The Grail.
Below are other contests entries (t-shirt design and deck contest for 2021)
Valor is a community of some of the most amazing individuals i’ve come to meet. The group is dedicated to their faith and to teaching children and adults to be strong and have courage in themselves. Valor organizes skate meets where they teach children how to skateboard in order for them to learn resilience, strength and positivity. They also host many contests and meets for adults to be apart of a community where they feel welcomed. I was tasked to recreate their branding along with other deliverables such as: their brand identity, t-shirt designs, a skate deck, and a website. A Mobile app is also currently in the works!
